Det finnes flere ulike typer tights, og innenfor for hver kategori finnes det underkategorier av tights. seamless tights, kompresjonstights osv.
Hvis tightsen er veldig stretchy er det mulig 2 størrelser kan passe, og hvilken man bør gå for vil være en smaksak.
For å unngå at tightsen vier seg ut unødvendig bør man ta de på seg som en strømpebukse.
